Welcome to FYR

With a whole new look, we’ve taken inspiration from the stunning Lakeland environment. Soft muted greens and blues run through the restaurant space, with authentic chunky solid oak furniture completing the look.

A selection of distinctly designed chairs and tables makes every seat a great one, and provides a stylish space in which to gather. Our booth seating is a great addition to the restaurant and allows families and groups to dine together whether it’s for a celebration, a special occasion or simply a casual meetup.

A rowing boat hanging from the rafters, and a floor to ceiling mural depicting a lakeside landscape are just some of the distinctive features on display throughout our new space. The ambience of any restaurant is essential and something that we have taken great care in creating at FYR.

We’ve introduced dramatic lighting in specific areas to highlight the timber rafters and wooden beams. The tree section illuminated from below is a unique central feature which adds a warm tone and feel to the seating area around.

Meet the Team behind FYR

Our FYR team of chefs will be delivering a menu influenced by the Cumbrian region that shows off the wonderful locality that is so close to our heart.

Dining is sensual so seeing the fire, hearing the food being cooked and smelling the wood that’s burning, adds to the experience. It will enable us to show how serious we are about food and our authentic cooking here at FYR. This includes serving locally sourced ingredients such as venison from the Eden Valley and bread from the bakery in Staveley.

The team at FYR is a close-knit family with a long-serving history together. Rare in the industry.
